When you read through the reviews on this site, you may notice that although we may offer constructive criticism, we do not give bad reviews per se. This has been a conscious decision on our part. Generally we feel there is enough negativity in the music business without our adding to it - if we don't like a CD, or are not receptive to the music, we simply do not include it here. (Although if a CD has not been included it is very likely that we simply have not got hold of a copy to review).

In our view there is simply no point in writing a review of material we dislike, after all, do we dislike it because it is not our cup of tea or because it is bad music? It's often very hard to say. However what is clear is that any review represents a matter of opinion, and what we try to do is point out the good things about the music we enjoy, and judge a CD above all on it's musical merits.

We are not musicians ourselves, we do not write music, we do not produce music - but we listen and we comment on the things we like. Our reviews are here to provide an insight into what a given CD is like, but the end of the day they are still our opinions and you may not agree with them.
