This week New Horizons is delighted to welcome a new member to the team as Marcel Haster joins us the the review department.
This weekends site update see's his review of Dial's 'Synchronized' album, and we already have some further reviews lined up for the next couple of weeks.
Marcel has been (and indeed still is) involved in the excellent Progressive World website, and may also be known to some of you as the former 'Ayreon' web master.
We are very happy to have Marcel contributing to the New Horizons and hope that you too will enjoy his work!
All the best,
Simon

Once again just a quick word regarding CD reviews.
Regular reasons to the site will have noticed a major slackening off in the CD reviews department of late - this is not because of any particular shortage of worthy material, but relates more
to a shortage of time on my part since I am pretty much running everything on my own at the moment.
As a result of lot of music is coming to my attention and being missed altogether by the site - in order to rectify this I am hoping to start writing short CD reviews which rather than giving
an in depth track by track analysis will provide an introduction to the band followed by a much briefer overview of the music and any major points relating to the CD.
I feel this approach, while not perfect, will at least mean our readers are given basic information regarding some of the music available, which is infinitely preferable to being told nothing
at all.
A previous poll of our readers indicated that most people would be happy with this move, until now I just have not had the time to implement it. Hopefully on the next week or two some
CD reviews should start to trickle through once again, and once I get things up and running we can return to running regular CD reviews once again!
If you are a musician and have previously submitted music for review which failed to show up, please accept my apologies and also drop me an e-mail at musicreview@elrose.demon.co.uk and I'll see if I can run a retrospective review.

EDITORIAL 02/04/07 (My Birthday!!!!)
Just a quick word of apology really for the late posting of this weeks update and the non appearance of the promised CD at the start of last week.. Unfortunately we had some major computer
issues here in our office that took our main PC totally out of action and made updating the web site nigh on impossible.
Hopefully the issues are all now resolved (after yours truly burned the midnight oil for several nights running) and normal running can now resume......
Almost anyway .....
with Easter upon us it's time for a very short break to recharge the batteries and try and get some of the reviews that I have promised written! With this in mind there will be no update next week - so the next scheduled site update will be April 15th.
Have a great Easter and see you soon.
